Do’s
1. Punctuality: All staff and students are expected to be punctual in all school activities.
2. Attendance: Attend all the class, studies and the other school activities.
3. Respect: All staff and students must respect:
i. The rules and regulations of the school.
ii. The country’s culture
iii. The other person as human being
iv. Yourself
4. Care: All staff and students must take care of the following:
i. School property
ii. Every being
iii. Yourself
iv. The environment
5. Manner: staff and students should exhibit civilized manners and should conform to the Bhutanese etiquette of Driglam Namzha.
6. Study: studying is the most important reason that has brought everybody to the school and it must be given the first priority. Get yours doubts clarified and live with no doubts.
7. Students to keep their keep their cash or valuable items with warden/matron. Complains of lose of cash and other valuables will not be entertained.
8. Habit: Staff and students should cultivate good habits like switching off the light when not in use; closing of water tap after using; throwing of sweet wrappers in the bins
Don’ts’
As a future citizen of our country all the students of Daga Higher Secondary school are expected to practice certain moral character, conducts and integrity in line with our GNH values. Any breach of this code of ethics and behavior will be dealt very seriously as mention below. The following are the three categorized offences against which disciplinary actions will be taken:
Category 1: offences

1st instance: Teacher - Student conference/counseling, verbal warning,
2nd instance: Detention, SUPW, parent notification.
3rd instance: category 2 intervention1.

This category is to be dealt by the concern teacher. All teachers are to keep proper records and report to the SSSS head who keeps all the final records in soft copy to save resource.

3. Possessing and reading unsuitable media
4. Prowling/ black mailing
5. Name calling
6. Foul/indecent language
7. Defiance to authority
8. Business transaction
9. Use of verbal and physical threat

1st instance: counseling, discipline committee intervention, taking undertaking from the student, parent notification.
2nd instance: parent-students-principal conference, suspension from the school with permission from the DEO.
3rd instance: category 3 intervention2

This category of offences should be dealt by the discipline committee.

4. Vandalism
5. Destruction of school and other’s property
6. Theft
7. Possession harmful implements
8. Formation of gang
9. Bringing/ possessing fire works
10. Sexual harassment and molestation
11. Repeated offences of all nature

1st instance: Counseling, undertaking from the student and the parents, inter-changing of the school. In case of serial No. 4 and 5 the concern must replace the property beside other penalty (within 15 days).
2nd instance: call parents and suspend from the school with permission from the DEO. The students to be issued TC at the end of the year along with the result.
3rd instance: instant termination from the school with the permission from the DEO.

To be dealt by discipline committee
|
All action taken by the school will be properly documented. Student suspended will be issued office order and the parents will be called and the students will be handed over with properly signed handing taking document.
Case outside school:
Cases of offences and crime that occurs outside the school shall not be taken care by the school authority. It will be dealt by the RBP and the school will not in any case involve.
Cases of severe criminal nature:
Cases of severe criminal nature and that are beyond the capacity of the school authority to deal with, will be handed over to the police.
Concerned teachers, school captains and class captains are responsible for constant supervision. The following are the members for school discipline committee.
