GOLDEN JUBILEE ROLLING TROPHY 2013
Last year Daga HSS celebrated its Golden Jubilee Celebration. Daga HSS was established as a Primary school in 1962. We had a grand celebration in order to pay our sincere respect to the school for her selfless service to the nation.
As a part of celebration we organized Golden Jubilee Rolling Trophy. This activity will be carried out every year.This year we organised the football match on 12 August 2013. 12 teams took part in it. it is very encouraging to see increased in the number of teams every year.
The final of the tournament was conducted on 8 September 2013. Dasho Dzongdag was the Chief guest. The two finalist were Dagapela MSS and Gesarling MSS. Both the teams deserves to be the finalist. Both were equally strong. 90 minutes of the play could not decide the winner. Extra time played and finally Gesarling MSS was declared winner through Penalty shoot out.
Hundreds of spectators gathered to witness the much awaited final. Prizes and trophies were awarded to the Referees, assistant referees, best player and highest scorers by the Ven. Lam Neten of Dagana Dzongkhag. Trophies and cash prizes of Winner and Runner-up were given away by Dasho Dzongdag.
The school along with the Dzongkhag Sports Association ( DSA) will conduct similar tournament next year.
